During the first shotgun season back in November I had figured out where the deer usually came out and fed in the evenings. The problem was no place to put a stand. So this time around I brought a fold out chair and a shooting stick. I set up on the ground in some tall grass on the edge of the field down where the deer usually showed up. Friday evening right before dark this Buck followed a Doe out of the woods. I shot him with my Encore muzzle loader at little over 100 yards. I was pumped when I found him. I don't normally kill Deer like this in Florida. He was 226lbs. We figured 3.5 years old. I don't know what he scores. I am going to do a skull mount with the head.
