Well, Brent and I met up this week in Crow Creek, AL on the TN river for a couple hours fishng before dark.
We did better than last week, we all caught some good ones, and I actually had the rod completely jerked out of my hand, but Brent left a little early, and missed that one,...lol.
Usually, when a Bass blows up on a topwater bait, you give him a few seconds to make sure he gets it in his mouth good, before you rip some lip. This goofy fish decided, he was gonna do it his way,...lol. He exploded on it, and headed out in a hurry. I never had time to even think, and my rod was gone. Got my rod back though!
Another fun trip to AL!

WHOLE BUNCH of ugly in that picture for sure....not counting that pretty bass of course.

Sounds like a plan,... maybe next friday if the weather permits.

I'm gonna be out chasing whitetails with my oldest Friday through Sunday this week Tommy....trying to get his first bowkill. That boy would rather chase a deer than a turkey any day. I don't know who his real Daddy is, but it can't be me.

Nice catch Tommy. Nothing like a big bass blowing up on a topwater when it comes to fishing IMO.

I hear ya Bud. I go down to the TN river, either on Nickajack lake in TN, or down in Brent's backyard in Stevenson, AL, every pre fall just for the topwater bite in the Milfoil grass/weeds. The grass is starting to die off and break away already, so it is probably close to being over for this year. I think I got a late start this year.
Some of the blow-ups are so violent, it will put you into shock!
