Where is the bald scientist from the hoosier state to shed his 02 cents..
While as always skeptical of marketing, I am sure there is ways that lead can be made to pattern better. One part I am having trouble grasping is the 10 percent greater penetration part? How? Its lead.. The 1300 FPS is the same as HV and other loads.. Is this new "buffer" thing holding this wad of pellets together longer thus maintaining velocity better do to combined mass of the pellets?

Re: Win Long Beard XR???
Ok so I took the below picture from the OL blog and assumed the larger circle is 10 inches.. It was a PIA to count holes considering the stupid EZ See target but think I got pretty close give or take for the clusters.. 180 at 40 yards..
If this is the case this load is extremely promising.. I think anyone would be happy with 180 from a lead shell at 40.. But one thing to consider, when us guys on these forums get our hands on new shells collectively we have a much larger sample of chokes and bore diameters to maximize potential. Basically this guy is probably toting the choke they say works best, which alot of times that is not the case..

I'll believe that pattern when I walk up to my target shot with my gun at a measured 40 yards!!! Wonder how many years it will take before anyone actually sees a box for sale at your local sporting goods store...hopefully it won't be a waste of another $20 only to be disappointed again.

YEP!!! I thought the wad was considered a capsule for the shot anyway.savduck wrote:I call BS
I know Spuriosity and myself and probably Hawg too, have already experimented with putting a 20ga wad inside a 12 ga wad,... trying to see patterning differences. It ain't no big deal!
Besides, those patterns they posted with that new "Capsule" may have decent numbers, but they are just plum crappy in my book, all broken up with strings of shot, and full of holes!

Ya know thats the crappy part like Hevis infamous graphic in the Cabelas catalog.. If you read through some of the above stuff there is alot of talk of "we are not promoting shooting that far" or if "he hangs up a bit further" etc SO why even say it in the first place if you are already apologizing for it.Johndoe wrote:That's awesome.
