Turkey and Turkey Hunting Magazine

Post by ICDEDTURKES »

So I saw the news tonight that the magazine is no more. As with everything technology especially the internet catches up with everything.. I have literally stacks of this magazine.. I know there are only so many ways to spin the same tactics, calling, story etc.. But this truly was the only publication we had that was devoted to our sport other than NWTF..

I have subscribed and hunted down in stores each new issue.. Not that I felt there was much to learn, but simply because I would rather read something turkey related than non turkey related no matter how stupid I thought certain articles and topics were. I truly enjoyed Lovetts Biology section as well as Jim Spencers tales of Bad Birds..

Thats about the only mag. I actually read from cover to cover. Now I'm stuck with only the NWTF mag to read, thats a major bummer!

This is really bad news. And I have no interest in Deer and Deer Hunting Mazazine.

This does suck. This was litterally the only magazine i bought and read.

come to think of it, he did a article in one of the hunting magazines. I wouldnt buy any magazine that had him featured in a article.

Well I see that 1 expert & 1 wanna be expert feel the need to make negative comments that have nothing to do with this string. Way to go guys, nice job.

I received the magazine for years (I didn't pay for it; it was a gift) and pretty much thought it sucked.

The only item of interest to me was the "New Gear" section towards the back.

The rest was just the same ole re-hash of calls, calling, tactics, blah, blah, blah.

...and for the record, I am an "expert" of nothing nor do I claim to be. ;)
