A little look..

Into our goose hunting.. Last night birds did not fly as we were un seasonably high in the 80s.. Sal and I had been limiting all week in the evenings so we chose the field we had the best cover. Well this morning did not disapoint. The skies opened up.. The first two flocks of geese worked perfectly into the spread resulting in our limit.. With flock after flock stacked on the horizon we decided to close our blinds and take it all in.. My buddy Jon pulled his I Phone and began shooting video.. After limiting we probably put 200 geese in easy gun range..

Beautiful sunrise, beautiful view and beautiful colors..



Here is a couple short clips after we limited.. These birds were all inside the decoys.. At one time not in the video we had 75 or so within 25 yards on the ground.. Dang its hard to stop at two

We had a good field mallard hunt this AM.. Going back to the field in the pics tonight as all the geese are back in there.. Outside of turkey, nothing beats goose hunting for me.. After they are shot at a few times they become extremely wary and you really have to cross your Ts and dot your Is to kill them.. A little shine, a blind not stubbled right, a little movement and the game is over.. After hunting puddlers, divers etc they really are the toughest of fowl to kill on a daily basis.
