Re: nwtf convention
Not I. As I said before, for me, it's nothing more than a $1000 hangover. There are some folks I'd like to see again, but I won't be going this year.

It's looking more like I won't be going. I would enjoy seeing some folks for sure. It does get old telling Tiffany and Waddell's wife I am not interested.
Re: nwtf convention
I'm going! As time draws near, we'll put together a meet!

1. Judges in another room, their will be a feed of calling to room with turkey sounds in between the callers
2. Peoples choice- vote for callers through cellular device
3. Entrance- With judges in other room, callers can choose entrance music as well as fans cheering etc

Man, this is what I was told and hoped it wasn't really going to happen!!!!
So, a new category, People's Choice? Ok I guess
I'd like to just intro all callers with their own entrance AND then have the calling as usual
We'll see how it goes

Re: nwtf convention
I am looking forward to going again this year....It's nice to see some faces and calls that I would not get to see otherwise.....Always get to visit with a lot of guys and meet new friends as well. If you stay at one of the other hotels and eat somewhere other than the Opryland hotel it is not that expensive of a weekend (except for what you spend on the floor )

Going. Hope to see ya Doug.
Re: nwtf convention
I am Judging the head to head and the prelims. They are going to judge all the contests regularly but have it set up for people to check out the system in the other room. If everything goes well and they are satisfied with the way it's working they are going to place the judges in the other room for the Senior finals. That way they can do some fancy intros for the callers that the judges wont be able to hear. Then once the calling starts the judges will get the live feed to their headsets. I don't like the idea and you are never going to hear as good as the real thing no matter how good your system is. JMO

Joe who is the brain child that decided to have a judge listen through a headset??

My thoughts as well... It lends itself to some credibility issues as well..TRKYHTR wrote: I don't like the idea and you are never going to hear as good as the real thing no matter how good your system is. JMO

One other thing we may see.. Is one caller that really has no business winning the finals, wins, due to the fact they get lucky and work the Mics right..

I got rid of the last few posts. This turned into a good thread with a good question asked by Hobie.
Deleted posts resulted with name calling. So they are gone.
