Gator Season

Post by Gobbler »

I am pumped up. I got two tags for Lake Hancock in Polk county. Going scouting tonight with a Notorious Gator Guide from Plant City. He is in my Airboat club and has offered to put me on a nice one this year.

I could probably fill my tags on my own like normal. BUT I ain't no dummy. When a pro offers you jump on it.

Here is one I killed 2 years ago while out frogging and scouting for the weekend. My season opens in September.

Good luck with the gator hunt hunt. It really looks like fun. Do you shoot them or what? What do you use?
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

"Notorious gator guide" ain't named Bill George, or Glen is it? Ask them if they know me. :D

Took my girlfriend down last September....one night to Lake Ockeechobee, and two nights on Lake Hancock. Jen's gator measured 9'3", but we missed some HOGS! I will probably go down there again this year, since my license is good for one year from date of sale.

Doc, Its not him. But its a friend of mine Wayne that use to guide. I got drawn for Lake Hancock. We were there last night scouting. Saw and marked 5 big ones. Wayne called 3 up to us with that baby kissing call. It works out good this year cause we both live in Plant city and only have to drive to Bartow. :D

Check out Bill's website, when you get the chance. He manufactures and sells gator hunting stuff....hence, his website is gatorhuntingequipment.com

I think he told me his buddy Glen bought 250 leftover gator permits this year!!!
