Be home in Mississippi for the first part. Got some extra time off in April( 11-19) and considering a DIY Traveling Hunt somewhere for the first time. Any suggestions ? Thinking TN or maybe KY...

I'll be hunting Durham, Orange,Granville, Franklin, Warren, and Chatham County in North Carolina if I'm lucky. As much as I'd love to hunt other states, unless something changes, N.C. is gonna be it for me.

I'm hunting KY, TN, MO. I'm torn about VA. I had planned to hunt Virginia but not sure I want to support the state government with my money. Even though as a Disabled Veteran I can hunt VA cheap. I'm still undecided....

We'll start out in a couple weeks here in South Florida swamp. Was scouting near camp this past weekend and had to toms gobbling about 300 yards away. No calling, just listening. South tom flew/glided the 300 yards and lands 75 yards to our east. After a bit we heard a gobble closer. While sitting listening the tom popped up 20 yards from us and boogered and headed west toward a travel corridor we have seen them on camera. Within 1/4 mile of camp. Got our juices flowing! Several other birds on cameras as well.

Will travel out to our Oklahoma farm for a Rio hunt in April.
