My daughter found a old box taripin shell in the woods next to the house, had thoughts on find'n me a piece of slate & "recycle'n" it.
When I was just a baby my mama told me son, always be a good boy & dont ever play with guns.

My grandpa made turtle shell calls with corn cob strikers. He also made a fine home made sling shot. Them pics brought back some memories

That turtle shell call is cool. I have a turtle shell laying around here somewhere I have thought about getting some slate for. Seeing that pic makes me think that would be a good off season project to complete.
