Storm Damage

Post by HunterGKS »

Several weeks ago, a pretty bad storm went through Bucyrus, Ohio.
I drove through Aumiller Park on 06/25/2019 & saw a crew removing
a huge tree that had been snapped off during the storm. The tree
was right on the bank of the Sandusky River & next to a vehicle river
crossing. I have driven past that tree I don’t know how many times &
never really noticed it. It’s a shame that a tree as old as this 1 was
lost. The stories it could tell.

The 1st 6 pics were taken on 06/25 & the last 4 on 07/02.

Hate to see a tiny bit of history go so fast.
My friend lost an oak in Hurricane Rita that was huge. One a hunting trip, a group of us tried to measure it. Took five of us to reach around the base.
