On the way home from lunch Saturday, I spotted this bushy foraging along the edge between
a woods & a corn field on Wickham Road. It didn't seem too concern with my presence.
Today, these 2 geese were walking along the edge of the road & moved down to the Brokensword
as I got closer. I stopped & they started honking & swimming upstream. The female got nervous &
started running across the top of the creek before taking wing for several yards with the male
following. The landed on the water & then walked up the opposing bank still honking like crazy.
As I neared the spot where I saw the fox Friday, I noticed a whistle pig along the side of the road
to my right. The 1st 2 pics were taken through the windshield & the last 2 through the driver side
door glass. We sat there looking at each other for at least a minute before it decided to move
across the ditch, across the road in front of me, & high-tail it across the yard into the woods.
Looks like he was trying to imitate the geese & took to the air. It may be time to start watching
the rip-rap pile behind the house.
