Hello everyone
Hello everyone
New to the site and I just found this area. I love hunting and turkey hunting is at the top my list. here on the wisconsin/lllinos border chasing long-beards keeps me in field often. It is nice to find a site with good people who share common obsessions. I look forward to learning from everyone.

Re: Hello everyone
Season started off in NW Illinois on public land with my father. He is new to turkey hunting and has yet to get one. He is disabled so i have tried to adjust my tactics. We had close encounters on all three hunts. I decoyed a two year old in north central Illinois at 40 yards mid season, private land. finished my season by getting Inbetween a group of hens and toms. I was able to call up a satellite two year old. The pine rows were open and he broke strut after eying me by a tree, so I put the dot on his head let the big 12 bark, and at 57 paces lay my second trophy of the year. This was taken on public land near Wisconsin dells.

Re: Hello everyone
You better be short.. No talk of over 40 yards here.. We are not going to promote long range turkey gunning..pedro wrote:Season started off in NW Illinois on public land with my father. Oops... Did I say 57? Maybe I was taking short strides.
