Dick's stock drops

CEO Edward Stack of Dick's Sporting Goods, commenting on the posted nearly 10% drop in Dick's stock value placed the blame partially on a drop in "hunting" merchandise. If folks boycott the chain of stores, including the Field and Stream hunting and fishing stores, and don't spend their dollars on any and all merchandise the effects will be felt and ultimately further reflected in investor confidence. Spread the word!!!

I heard on y’all radio that under armour has been working with other sports stores and easy the relationship with Dicks.

Shareholders are livid with the Dicks handling of the AR “assault weapon” sales that Dicks said they were no longer going to sell.

Ducks was counting on the liberal left to flock in and buy goods. Didn’t happen. Either the board needs a new ceo or they are going bankrupt

They had a good thing going before they branched out into Field and Stream. Before F/S Dicks had some of the best prices and now that they are trying to transfer Dick's hunting/fishing merchandise to F/S. The 10% stock drop was due to the transferring of outdoor gear to F/S, but they can claim a loss at Dick's and write it off. They did screw up by speaking their political mind ( Whatever an Assault Weapon is ) Personally I shopped at Gander Mtn. more than any of them. I was tired of going to Cabelas and looking at Safari Clothing in deer and turkey country. BPS should change that around.. Just my 2cents!!!

I don't know if Montana has any of those stores, I have never seen one here but maybe Billings or Missoula may have one. Big chain stores don't do much for me I would rather do business with a local owned place where a guy can get a deal other than a fixed price place where they think they are doing the customer a service for just being there.

Low quality fodder with unrealistic base pricing.

Who the hell shop’s at Dicks anyways?... they suck from a quality products standpoint to begin with.

I used to go there and check for gun deals. Bought a SBE2 for 1,100 out the door. Camo Can’t touch that now

 They are opening a new store in our city in mid month. Probably go in, look around, and then order something from Amazon. I'll wear an NRA hat. Probably get followed around by security. Lots of opening day drawings and "celebrities" to bother also. I'm sure they'll be happy to discuss gun issues with the crowd.

I’m with Grumpy on this one , getting tougher to support the local store guys in pa - bass pro / f&s / gander outdoors is about all that’s survived

I’ve been buying on line looking for smaller shops when I can

I have bought from them in the past, usually on-sale items as I found them to be a little high priced.
I will never darken their doorsteps not web site again not matter if they change their stance as
anti-2nd Amendment. A skunk can't change its spots or strips depending on the type.

If I had any shares of Nike, they’d be gone like a turkey through the corn!! This Kaepernick thing isn’t gonna go well!! What were they thinking.
Maybe they’ll be the official shoe of the hood!!

All publicity is good publicity. Nobody’s talked much about that brand in a bit. It’ll be interesting to see what fallout occurs. I refuse to watch football anymore THAT is for sure.
