This pisses me off, he is by far my favorite artist. I've seen him I think 8 times. I can probably tell you the lyrics of most all his big songs. I've seen alot of big country acts and I enjoy his the most.

I was just on his site to see where he would be playing around me this fall. This sucks

I do have an incredible embarrassing Eric church concert story to hold on to.

Gonna be interesting to see how this works out for him.. I’m thinking that he just cut his own throat!
I don’t care either way. Don’t listen to country music so I won’t miss him if he’s gone. :dontknow:

I have no idea who that is. Last CD I bought was Earls of Leicester. No, it was Doc & Merle. Anyhow, I find that if I like the entertainment product of an individual its is best to not find anything out about them. Entertainment folks tend be real pieces of work. Can't even listen to Willie anymore after I slogged through one of his autobiographies.

He bit a fat pig in the a$$! Going to be interesting as to how long he lasts in the country genre. The dude’s evidently not figured out that pissing off 90% of your fans will have an effect on your career. What a dumb a$$!!

Eric Church will regret this like Jim Zumbo regretted his idiotic AR-15 article.

I was never a big Church fan. He has some good songs, but I just generally don’t like most country music from the last 15 years or so. But the guy from TN who got killed in Las Vegas was a good friend of mine. And Church was genuinely affected by that ordeal and was really good to Sonny’s widow and family. So good in fact that he earned a fan for life in me. I strongly disagree with his NRA rant, but I believe him to be a good guy whose opinion has been jaded by a front seat view of a terrible tragedy caused by an evil guy with bump stocks and high capacity mags. I’ll give him a pass here, but I agree he committed career suicide.

I can understand being affected over that..

but blaming the NRA or the 2nd amendment is just not blaming the root of the problem which is evil.

Evil vs good is what the real issue is stopping evil guys with guns takes good guys with guns. We cant see the mind of the sickos, until then we have to be vigilant

I remember seeing a video of his performance a few nights after that shooting and it was obvious that he was truly bothered by it. I remember him doing a tribute that involved two empty seats in the crowd for a couple who was supposed to see his show that night but they lost their lives in Vegas. I thought that was pretty cool on his part and solidified why I had liked him since he came on the scene.

However, just as I thought that was cool, I think his remarks against the NRA were equally not cool. I really wanted to go see him in concert but after these remarks I believe I'll keep that ticket money and do something more constructive with it, maybe even join the NRA. As bad as I hate it, because I've always been a fan of his music, he's likely dealt himself a pretty significant blow to his career.

By all means, join the NRA! If you hunt, you owe it to yourself to join. All politics aside, the anti-gunners won't stop unless we stop them. First will be the AR-15s, then semi-auto pistols, then all semi-auto shotguns, then pump shotguns, and on and on it goes. Think they would never do that? Look no further than Australia or Great Britain. If they have their way, we will all be turkey hunting with side by sides because that is all we will be "allowed" to own. Love it or hate it, only thing standing between us and them is the NRA.
