Bad news I've had rocky mt. spotted fever no one need to get it.

The Land Between the Lakes area in western KY/TN is still the worst tick area I've ever experienced. Remember doing a February crow hunt with trace snow on the ground and picking one off my pants back at the truck. Never even considered using tick spray in February. That was a mind changer.

I agree that W Ky is terrible during turkey season in particular. WNC is bad too. Got 2 or 3 off me and dozens on my dog during a Jan. grouse hunt in the mountains of Ashe Co, where there are tons of deer and tons of deer ticks.
