SW PA

Post by Shiloh »

Thinking about heading back up for a few days since I didn’t get it done in the second week. Any reason I shouldn’t?? There were plenty of birds where I was hunting.

Might be better hunting now if more hens are starting to nest

Well....it was evident in the first hour of the first morning that the turkeys were done. I guess I could’ve gone further north, but the family had had enough road time, so we tried it one more morning and the results were the same. Looking forward to opening week next year!!

Called in a gobbler twice on Saturday in SW PA. He probably gobbled 200 times.

I’m sure there were some of those around, but it sure seemed like they were wrapping up. I am from Ms and heard 3 gobbling on my place last Sunday morning so I know it is always possible.

Today would not be a good day to go hunting in North potter county PA misty rain and fog season ends on May 31 they are still gobbling.
