Congratulations to y'all! How are the birds gobbling down there? I haven't hunted my land in Pine Mountain in almost 7 years.

Nice, congrats. I have a house in Pine Mountain. See lots of deer but not many turkeys. Neighbors have told me they used to see birds all the time, but not in the last several years.

They were gobbling good. We heard 7 different gobblers, and called another good one up to about 40 yards. She couldn’t see him for a tree, and 2 big bad jakes ran him off. I’ve already limited out, and just had fun watching the show!!!

Thanks Ronnie, the turkey population is down to what it was 5 years ago when we first started hunting there.

Steve, send some of those birds south. Sounds like a great hunt. She didn't use her .410? You can send that one south, too. ;) Gil

It was a fun hunt just to set back, and watch it unfold!!! She wanted to take her muddy girl escort shotgun. Tried to get her to take my o/u .410, but she likes the short barrel on her escort 20ga. :dontknow:

As you can see in the bottom pic on my right index finger don’t pick a flopping gobbler with sharp spurs up!!! Trying to keep him from ripping his feathers out on a downed tree!!! You big dummy!!!
