Tennessee Gobbler with a .410 and TSS 10's

Called this ole boy up this past weekend ,and 3 of his friends along with 6 hens. The hens came in first to about 15 yards while the boys were gobbling, and strutting dragging up the rear. The boys were at about 40 yards, and the hens were getting nervous so, I took the one to the left with my ATI Cavalry o/u .410 that had strutted away from the other 3 gobblers. At the shot with Hal's 370NM load of TSS 10's he folded up like a window blind!!! He weighed 21 lbs had a 10" beard, and his right spur was 1 5/16", and the left spur was 1 1/4"

Congrats on your bird. I am taking 3 kids (not at the same time) hunting this year. They will be hunting with tss (20 and 410). If I can get the birds in and they hold tight, we should have some pics with dead birds. Wish us luck!

Thanks fellas, I jumped up, and ran to him like in the ole days when we shot 7 1/2 lead shot. Those 10’s put him down for the count!!! They are real impressive!!! I have to thank Hal for all his help, because my Cavalry o/u .410 has been a challenge!!! But now I have the pattern out to the 52-54 yard killing range of the 10’s.

Thank you sir. We are just short of 3 weeks for the youth hunt. With any luck there will be a post with some dead birds. If they do not make a kill there may be some pics of me. We shall see how nice the girls are to me. Thanks you again sir! :bounce:
