WeatherTech Floor Mats

Post by HunterGKS »

Does anyone have any experience with these? I just received the a set & I'm disappointed.
They are extremely thin & I wonder how well they will hold up. For what they cost, I expected
something a lot more heavy duty.

Any input would be appreciated.

I've got them in my 2015 Chevy and I love them. They have held up very good. I've had them 2 years.

Kinda. There not real thick or real thin. They were stiff for a while and didn't lay against sides good but after a while they laid down and are perfect now.

I've had em in my '13 Tundra since it was brand new. They've been great. My dad put some in his truck about 2 years ago. They've held up ok, but they're different than mine. Different model I guess. We both prefer the style that I have. And yes, mine are thin, but still pretty rigid.

Thx for the response, guys. I hope to have my new toy Friday P.M. & will see how they fit then.

I was expecting something a lot thicker/heavier but, if they get the job done, I guess lighter is better.

New ones don't hold up like the originals, but they are better than automart store brands.

I have them in my Tundra and they are worth every penny I paid for them. I guess you could consider them a little thin, but very durable. I'd recommend them.

George I love them, they get put through the ringer. When then need a good cleaning I wash them down and then Meguire shine them. They are slippery for a couple days but look brand new.. I got a deal on them, an auto parts store had them hanging as a display front and back for $65.00 :o

I've used the Husky brand floor mats for years and like them much better than the WeatherTec brand.

I have them in my Tundra and they have been up to any abuse that I've dished out. Same as Fatmo I scrub them down and use some Armour All tire shine on them and they look good as new.

I have the full floor covers, front and back, in my truck. They seem to work as advertised. It's a 2014 and I've only run it up to 25K, though. So I can't say they've been torture tested. My wife has Husky in her SUV. Those are no worse except the smell. They're a couple years old and still stink.

I've got them in my Tundra. They don't get abused so can't vouch for longevity but in my opinion it's the best out there. I lovem.

Thx guys. It's good to see so much positive feedback. When I got them this morning, I was really concerned that I had wasted many $$s. Now all I have to do is get my toy Friday to see how they fit.

I've had em in my 13 Tundra Crewmax (two front pieces and wide rear mat) for a few years now. They're good mats and do what they're intended to do IMO. The only thing that I consider a slight negative is that the front passenger mat doesn't lock into place like the driver's side so it has a tendency to move from time to time. Even with that said, I highly recommend them.

George,

I have had both Husky and now I have Weather Tech. As far as durability, they are both the same. They last through the toughest. I think the Weather Tech may be a tad more precise on their fitment. I believe you will enjoy them. Oh and Meguiar's is an automotive detailing product company....wax, interior detailing, etc.

Like the others said.....wash them and wipe them down with an interior detail liquid and they will look like new.

As far as the Meguires George.. It is in with the auto detailing crap at Wally-World , It is like a Armour all. I use the Natural shine made by Meguires.
