Til next spring! Season 17' recap.

Post by C.kimzey95 »

Today's the last day of the Tennessee 2017 turkey season and boy it has been a good one. Plenty of the usual ups and downs and luckily (knock on wood) no misses! This was my 7th spring out here running these hills chasing turkeys but this has really only been my 2nd year of doing it seriously. The way my work and school have been this semester I was able to hunt a lot and I even scratched out 3 A's and 1 B! I got to see 7 different gobblers bite the dust this year and I was fortunate enough to fill all 4 of my tags. Here are some of the pics that maybe didn't make the dead turkey posts but some I will enjoy and love looking at until next season rolls around we all get to get after these stubborn birds again. Image here's to taking a look back at this season. This was a bird that I hunted several times and had under 70 yards 3 or 4 different times. My buddy later killed him when he visited from out of town to hunt with me. Image here he is again after he gobbled one too many times! Image I think this one was already posted but man I loved the brush that this bird was toting around! Image here is a pre season pic I took of what I'm pretty sure was that same bird. Image here's a picture of some new ground I was able to hunt this year and it's your typical Lynchburg hills and it will wear you out. Image for whatever reason I opened the 3rd bird I killeds mouth and there was cricket sitting there on his tongue. I had teased a few buddies and asked if they thought he just choked to death! Image another look at number 3! Image Image I was super proud of my limit bird and his 1.25" hooks. They are a tie for my personal best. Image So until next season I'll just be hanging around looking at pictures waiting on that next gobble!

Nice. Congrats on a fine season and some fine birds.

But I can't believe you didn't let him finish his last meal!
