BEST GOBBLER CALL HANDS DOWN

Okay, I seen where someone was looking for the best crow call on the market............Well I am looking for the best gobbler call on the market........I want hands down, without a doubt, best sounding, most realistic gobbler call that's out there if money were no object. I have had a couple of the "shaker" gobbler calls and I recently bought a "Haint" gobbler call and after several hours of practicing with it (drove my wife and kids crazy, nearly cost me a divorce and now my kids hate me.....LOL) I still can't get a decent gobble with it so if anybody has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Seems a good mouth call used with small hand make cone to project the gobble is winning the Grand Nationals in Gobbling contest. It sounds great.

IMO, a tube call makes the best gobbles

IMO, the utilization of vocal chords makes the best sounding gobbles and is the hardest to master. A tube call can be set up for hen yelps, clucks, purrs and cackles and with a heavier diaphragm can produce very realistic gobbles and gobbler clucks. I was introduced to tube calls for calling geese and turkeys by a real master, Harold Knight, in the mid-70's. If you think that your wife and kids were mad before, try to master a tube call in the house. I had played w/ one of Harold's tubes for calling geese for weeks and finally started to make realistic goose sounds and called one of my friends to demonstrate my new-found calling ability. I had set the phone down on a kitchen chair and was calling when I heard a whirling sound and a Converse Chuck Taylor hit the wall next to my head. My wife yelled, "You take that damn thing outside, and don't ever bring it in this house again!!!" That was 38 years ago, and I seldom play with calls in the house unless I'm downstairs.

Mouth call like Gobbler said. I saw a video a while back on how to do it, I was skeptical at first but after a few tries and about 10 minutes, I had it sounding pretty damn good. Plus using a mouth call eliminates one more thing to weigh your vest down with

I use my natural voice. its definitely not the best you can buy but its lightweight.

I have tried several tube calls and about the best I can do with one is sound like a sick jake, don't need a gobbler call very often but a couple times this year I wish I would have had one.
