It happened to be the first bird i killed on my own. Got him home and breasted him out, only to find a six inch stick lodged and healed over in his breast. He was on the lighter side, im sure he wasnt too spunky carrying that around.

It has happened to me as well. It was a small twig in the breast and I even killed a deer with a stick it's inner ham.

Yes years ago. About 4" long and in a liquid sac in the breast.

This bird gobbled himself to death. Didn't need to call, he came right up the trail gobbling.

dang red, some mean birds in your area. never found one that's been lynched. I have, however, killed a gobbler with a stick in it. this wound had grown over with a large, flakey, puss filled growth. only turkey that ive thrown away. I wouldn't have given it to my worst enemy.

I killed a Adult Gobbler a few years ago and we cooked it for Thanksgiving, as I carved it I seen a Black spot that I thought was a feather draw. It was a stick the. Size of a pencil about 2" long all healed up. Had to hurt when he first did it I would think.
