3 Limbhanger Brothers

Post by quavers16 »

Last Spring on the very last day of the New York Spring Turkey Season-5/31-- I took my best gobbler spur-wise. Using the metal tape- I measured wrong -but using the cloth- the Boss gobbler I took had spurs of slightly over 1 1/2"-about 1/16" more. He must have been very old. The 2 gobblers that were with him could have been his Brothers. Hope they are both still alive come May 1st. But perhaps old age may have taken them. What do members here think?

I think you'll never know about brothers. I also think stories are useless without pics and lastly I believe by the more you post your higher than balls on a giraffe. Or maybe 1/16 past 1/2 higher than that.

I am still on a basic phone- but when I get on a smartphone- I will try to post pics when I learn how. I do have awesome pics in my 3 turkey hunting books that some here may have seen. Good luck members with your Spring Turkey Season.

If they didn't die of old age, or something else killed them, I'd think they would be around this spring. We've had a decent winter up til the last storm too. Nothing like three plus feet of fluffy snow. It's settled some here, so they should be able to get around on top of it now, at least. Good luck with them.
