I knew some of you started early, but I'm surprised to see just how early. I'd have to use snowshoes to hunt turkeys here in March most years. Not that I wouldn't do it, lol. Thanks for all the replies and good luck to everybody.

April 11 in Arkansas, but I'll start about march 28 in Mississippi. I used to want to go to Miss at the beginning of the season, but that's almost always too early (might not be this year, though) and there's way too many hunters. I'd rather hunt fewer and smarter birds with less competition than hunt in a crowd. Way too many fools out there the first few days of the season.
