Hey Hart......
What does it take for a fella to get his very own Russell Boot named after him? Nevermind, I read the description, and I'll never kill that many grand slams
That's pretty cool man. Congrats on having your name on another awesome product. Unfortunately, they are slightly out of my boot price range.

Russell Moccasin Company...google it. Look under "turkey hunting boots".hoobilly wrote:where do you find these boots?
Absolutely not stump, I agree, awesome stuff. You get what you pay for. One day I'm gonna get me a pair. Guess I coulda had several pairs by now, for what I've spent on boots over the years.

Re: Hey Hart......
Day---yummm!!! Russell's have gone through the roof since I last checked 'em out! I do believe in paying for quality in stuff like binocs, but prices like that for footwear are insane. I travel with several pair of boots and rotate 'em as needed to keep dry feet. No way am I gonna buy Russels! I used to own a pair, and while certainly nice, they didn't last any longer than other well-made and substantially cheaper boots.

If LeChameau made a snake-proof Wellie I'd be all over it. As it is, it is the only fully waterproof boot I own. With its gusseted zipper, I can get it on my high instep feet. Not cheap, but worth it to me. I am sick and tired of buying Goretex boots that can't keep the water out while walking through heavy dew. I know all about silicone spray treatments--they block the reason for having Goretex and it wears off during the course of a morning's hunt. Definitely going to look at the Russell's. Gil

Look like very quality boots.

If I had saved all the money I spent on hunting, I'd spend it on hunting.

Hey Hart......
I have been friends with the Russell folks for years and it was quite a surprise when they named a boot after me. They are great people up there in Wisconsin and make some great boots!

Hey Hart......
If I hadn't blown all the money over the last 20 years chasing turkeys I'd probably be living in a lot nicer house and driving something newer than a 12 year old truck! Lolappalachianassassin wrote:I just want the money that went into all the slams.....so I can go do it.

My only regrets are the ones I missed and the trips I didn't take!appalachianassassin wrote:NO REGRETSHartClemson99 wrote:If I hadn't blown all the money over the last 20 years chasing turkeys I'd probably be living in a lot nicer house and driving something newer than a 12 year old truck!
