Great video, Hal! Isn't that a 2nd strutter in the lower right portion of the screen at 35-37 seconds?

Neat video and hunt Hal.
Nice to see someone showing some respect and reverence for the bird. Smoothing the feathers, picking the grass off his head, and admiring more than the beard & spurs. I liked the way you let the flock move off before getting up too. I don't see any of that too much on most videos.

No, the hens were fighting, and had their fans flared a lot right before the video started, and up until the last part of the video. But the one tom was all there was.drenalinld wrote:Great video, Hal! Isn't that a 2nd strutter in the lower right portion of the screen at 35-37 seconds?
You can hear them fussing at me with fighting purrs from about 1:10 to 1:20, as they were coming up in response to the few high clucks I gave. They seemed anxious to assert dominance over the new hen that just showed up (me). Then at 1:20 they saw both of us just sitting there in the wide open and putted, then started to reverse course and leave.
At about 1:53 you can hear me click off the safety. Then I moved the gun slightly to get a bead on the tom, and the hens saw that and started to get out of there.
