So, what are all you Turkeys
doing now that Turkey season is over and it is too dang hot to fish???
I myself have been playing in the garden, and picked up an old desire to make a bunch of noise.
Played the saxophone in school 45 years ago, and was pretty good at the time. First chair every year, until the director kicked me back for playing tunes from ear, that weren't under his agenda..... Azzhole. I quit after that.
I just recently got a hankering to pick it back up. I'm not near as good as I once was, but it's coming back,..... slowly.
It has been harder than I remember, and have gotten frustrated, but Lily has been amazed and freaked out a little.
Although it doesn't take much to impress her. She married me, didn't she???
Music has always been a part of my life since I can remember. Guess I'm just not ready to let it go.
So, what's the rest of ya'll been up to???

Re: So, what are all you Turkeys
Would never have pegged you for a sax player. Played alto and bari myself in HS. I gave my horn away years ago. Don't think I could play one now if my life depended on it. Been doing a lot of singing lately. That and working on my nest predators. Been giving the local coon population a pretty hard time.

Very cool. I played alto in college. Loved it. My 1st was stolen. My gf, now wife, bought me another. It was stolen a year later. I give it up.

I try to walk as often as I can in the late afternoons. Usually at least 2 miles to keep in shape for the Fall Seasons here in NY. Between the walking--I take my bike out so I do not get bored- but something every day. And I am reading-- Remembering The Greats---by Jim Casada. 3/4 done with it.

A little of this, maybe once a week...
And a lot of this.....
I'm really wanting to take my first traditional deer this fall.

Dang son, That's a bunch of Green Trout!!! We're catching a few of those, but lots of white Bass, we call em stripe.
David, That's a nice rig ya got there!!! We bought a new JD 3038 with all the trimmings two years ago. It has been a life saver here on our small farm.
Wes, Yep played the Alto and Bari sax in school. The Bari was quite big for my small size back then, but don't remember having any trouble with it. Always wanted a Tenor though. The Soprano is just for chits and grins.

It did cut much better after attaching the pto shaft, grumpy. Working on a disk deal, have an angle blade. It should be food plot monster.
Re: So, what are all you Turkeys
The bass pictures would normally piss me off with jealousy but I Just got a call from my neighbor. He has 5 bass for me today that he caught.
I love catch and release into the grease.

Re: So, what are all you Turkeys
I played the sax in grade school. I hate to think how long it's been.
I've been travelling a lot for work. Snapped this photo of a rain storm in central MT.
In Illinois visiting family right now. Been fishing a neighbor's pond. I've lost my touch and lost two bigger fish yesterday.

Catching a few of those "green trout". Did have a bit of time to go after the flatheads and biggest was 51lb. Also twiddling my thumbs thinking about fall gobblers.
