Re: New PA Member
Figure I better give you a profile to get up to speed:
1. I can usually read sarcasm, 'cept when it involves talking to the wife.
2. I've been known to shoot a Jake, when he gobbles to the gun after 2 hours and did so this Spring.
3. Need to learn about TSS, I'm a Winchester Supremes Shell guy, and they quit making 'em
4. I've been called names repeatable in church and not, more not's recently among my turkey hunting friends
5. Can't speil, spell, or stay ahead of auto-correct.
6. Been years, but have traveled to kill a turkey, what to do that some more.
7. Told stories, with parts true, and some added or modified depending on the audience.
8. Never met or saw a type of call that I couldn't rationalize buying
9. New shells, but old school guns and camo.
10. Probably makes some folks mad, PA permits rifle in fall carry an over / under .223 / 12 ga - cause that's what my mentors carried; been known to use rifle as recently as last fall on a gobbler.
11. Tom Kelley 10th legion member - I do not hunt turkeys because i want to, I hunt them because I have to.
12. I'm sure there are some things more important that turkey hunting in the spring when i have spare time, but can't seem to come up with any
13. Take me to one of your spots, i'll not go back without you; and will NEVER tell anyone else where it is.
14. Lord willing i'll start my 50th year hunting this fall, Thanks DAD!

Re: New PA Member
ok
guess i'm in for the ride.
my fall gun is Valmet .223 / 12 ga; it's a bit heavier than the Savage models I was familiar with, but I'm very happy.

Re: New PA Member
That would be a great set up in Florida. I like the O/U cause It seemed like everytime I turkey hunted. I would have a hog come by. Of course when I carry it now NO hogs come by .MAK wrote:ok

Re: New PA Member
I'm hoping to run into a coyote with mine, and hopefully NEVER see one of those piggies in my neck of the woods; we have them in central PA (Bedford County) which is near me - let loose / escaped from hi-fence operation.
