Spring 16 - Amazing

Post by ccleroy » May 7th, 2016, 10:50 am

All springs are memorable, but this one was packed full of first's and amazing hunts. I try to soak it in as much as possible but in the end I'm always wishing for one more morning and one more gobble.

Great season as always Ricky! Great pics and strong killing. I know being able to get your boys on his first birds this year had to be the highlight of your season.

Indeed it was D!! I honestly thought hunting with a 5 year old would be near impossible considering well they are only 5. But one thing I can say and it's not because he's my son is that he gets it, like really gets it and it's scary. He knows to stay still, what to listen and look for and small things like immediately stopping when hearing a crow holler or owl hoot to listen for a gobble to follow. God above has blessed me with a fantastic life and I can't be more thankful for what he has given me. Him killing his first's were very emotional, my father is the best man I know, he however didn't hunt but is more at home on the water. I've always thought the spring couldn't get any better, I was wrong, watching your kids enjoy the same thing that burns inside of you year round is an absolutely fulfilling experience.
