9.5s in action - I used to be able to see how he died
I took a youth out hunting with his dad the other day. The dad showed up with an unpatterned 20 gauge and #4 shot. I thought no, no, no,.....so I asked the kid if he wanted a gun that would reach out there a little further. Next thang you know, , he's holding my outfit loaded up with 2 oz of #9.5s TSS.
We ended up getting on a suicidal two year old that came in from 400 yards out and put on a nice show. The kid shot him at 20 yards, and his head looked like it was pulverized (based on all the blood) but when you wiped off the blood, he looked good as new. The Kid asked where he shot em, and i couldnt' really find the holes for him! Crazy.

Very cool. You have to love TSS and the right set up. Congrats

At 20 yards the kid could have killed it with a load of peppercorns, TSS had nothing to do with a kill or not on that bird, IMO.
I was not his father but he was my son,,MAK IV, 10-15-1993 - 4-22-2007

He wouldn't have looked as purdy though , and while the I agree that TSS didn't have anything to do with the kill as far as stopping power, my pattern was probably 25-50% bigger at than range then his 20 gauge. You can really open things up with 900 pellets. Soooooooo it very well could have had something to do with the TSS, but we'll never know how good his aim was.
