Than yesterday morning where I lost my patience and shot when I shouldn't have. Oh well that's yesterday this is today. Let's hope one wants to play.

funny how misses can haunt you for eternity. ive always had the mentality that for every turkey you miss, that's just one more day that you get to hunt. so its not all bad.

Everyone misses eventually. I had a neighborhood kid look at me like I had 3 eyes when I told him I missed one. "How could you miss a turkey with a shotgun?" I saw him looking hang-dogged a week later and he said "I missed one". If you aren't missing occasionally you aren't shooting many. Gil

Re: hope this morning is better.
Well he didn't say a word this morning. The hen he bred yesterday morning was back looking for him. She stayed in the green field for over hour an half. The whole time she is looking funny at the 2 other hens that wasn't moving at all.
Look it over as I left this morning, I should have shot him when he first got in the field, 47 yards, didn't feel good about that shot, but take a really bad shot at him later. For the record I broke one down within 5 feet of where he standing last year and wasn't comfortable.
