Yea I know. People do it here to. I just told wife today that I need to take it out and store it in truck till I need it cause they steal stuff like that here to. I'll probably end up pullin the pin and take it out unless I can figure out a way to lock it.

Here is my Katie Dog. I found her at Tractor supply about 6 years ago. Figgered someone would have stole her, but she keeps hanging tough.
Always use a lock. I think I got this one at Wally world.
Hit ebay and search hitch ball cover, they pretty much have whatever you want.

Yep understandable. Dash wouldn't be a bad place if it would stay but it's kinda like the rear view I don't like stuff hanging from it so I might not like it on dash either but it prolly would deter the thieves.
