Prayers for Doug. I heard he had to have a procedure done today that was totally unexpected. I pray everything went well and he makes it home safely.

he called me and told me yesterday that he has to have emergancy surgery yesterday for a detached retna. Pretty routine operation so if you know Doug he'll be back to normal in a few days.

Prayers sent, hope he recovers soon. He seemed fine Friday evening, I was wondering why I didn't see him yesterday at the convention.

Been there . It ain't terribly bad,but it ain't no fun either. Cataracts removed with lens inserts,one retina tear in the left and 5 in the right then a macular hole in the left.By the grace of God I can see.

Sure hope everything turns out ok. My son took a baseball to the eye a couple of years ago and suffered a torn retna and they were able to fix it up and restore his vision, so I have faith that Doug's situation will turn out well. Get well soon, Gobbler!

Hope Doug is doing well. Didn't hear anything out of him today

It did come up while he was in Nashville. Operation was at Vanderbuilt so he is in good hands. VaTurkey spoke with his wife after surgery and they found his other retina nearly detached as well so both eyes required procedures. She will have to drive him home Mon or Tue because he won't be able to fly.

hell this must be the reason he missed three birds last spring. Maybe now he'll be able to hit something.

Glad they found out his other eye was damaged before it tore completely. He'll be as good as new in no time. Well maybe not as good as new maybe as good as refurbished.
