Re: Prayers for Gobbler
The way I hear thats usually what happens if one goes the other ain't far behind. Glad to hear that the surgery went okay . Here's to a speedy recovery. I am pretty sure its against safety rules to hunt turkeys with anything white showing like for example a white cane.

Like has been said and I also told Doug, if you are away from home and have to have something done, Vanderbilt is better than most anywhere to be.
Glad to hear he is doing well.

Re: Prayers for Gobbler
Thank you very much for the prayers. I am back home with an appointment Friday with a Retina Group in Clearwater.
So far Dr Sonkin of the Tennessee Retina Group in Nashville was optimistic of the results of the procedure I had Saturday evening.
I meet Friday with a new Doctor to evaluate my eye and put in place a schedule for monitoring the hopeful recovery of my eye.
This has been a very scary thing for me. I was blessed with fantastic medical Doctors and and attention in Nashville and I am hopeful for a good outcome. I plan on following their orders to the letter.
If this helps others my symptoms were occasional flashes of light in upper corner of my eye. Then I experienced tiny black spots in that eye. I had made an appointment with the eye Doctor for after the convention as I did not realize what these meant. I should have mentioned the symptoms while making the appointment and most likely this would have been handled here in Florida. I would have missed the convention but who cares I missed most of it anyway. Health is much more important than a convention.
I will keep folks posted on my hopeful recovery. Thank you again for your prayers. Doug.
