My Garden Got Invaded By Turkeys.

Post by redarrow »

Up until a couple years ago there were no turkeys anywhere near my home. Last couple years you might see one here and there.Heard a rumor they were hanging out in the neighborhood.I live in the city. Its kinda rural I guess.Near two major interstates.Well this morning these rascals showed up. I can't tell if the bearded one is a tom or a hen. At least 20 poults though. They seem to like the possum grapes.

OMG!!!! Yea,... that is hard to believe!!!! Saying you live in a city is an understatement!!! Detroit, and a 1/4 mile from one of the largest airports in the country!! Oh well, I've seen a couple wild turkeys in a park in New York City close to where you catch the ferry to go to Liberty Island,... so, I guess anything is possible.
Still don't know how you and your wife handle all that noise from the airport!!! :banghead:

Cool....I'll have on drift through once in a while but not often. There is a hen with five poults right down the road I get to see almost daily though.

I wish my garden would get invaded by turkeys. That's awesome.

Too bad it isn'n "IN Season"

Aw they gotta eat to, specially when it's a gourmet menu

With our drought here, the cussed' squirrels the wife loves to see in the yard & at the bird feeder so much, have taken over our 5 cherry tomato plants along side our house
Must be they got tired of stomach aches from the green ones, and wait till they start gettin' yeller', so I try and grab em' 1st
ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts??

Rabbits ate the beans and okra. Squirrels are eating the green tomatoes.
