I actually joined last month. This is my first post. Kind of introducing myself.

My name is Mike and live in Roanoke Va. Love to turkey hunt and think about it in some shape or form every day. Love all aspects of turkey hunting.

I have a loving wife who understands my love for the sport. She has bought me turkey calls, decoys and a even a new Benelli M2 last year. She actually regrets buying the turkey calls especially as spring approaches. It drives her crazy! Haven't been threatened with divorce yet.

I have talked and messaged with some GN members from other forums.

WV Ridge Reaper, Clark and Barry (Tube calls) to name a few. All have been helpful and enjoyed communicating with them.

Thanks for the welcome. I am definitely blessed with a very understanding wife.
The only time she gets a little sideways is around February when packages from Midway and cabelas
start showing up. Lol.

Good to see some from Va. Yeah, I always say that I'm not going to spend as much as the spring before, but I always find a way to "justify" some more.

Our baseball has been very good for the last several years and our basketball team has been much improved. Maybe either one of the coaches could double over to coach football. Our football has been down. It doesn't help that my wife is a Virginia Tech fan.

Jason and shooter, I get a sense that vaturkey is a catbird. With all the mention of this being a nut house and a bunch of goofballs, I believe that I'll fit in just fine. Lol.

Essentially this place is a compilation of folks rejected from other forum boards.

Hey, glad your on board here. I'm a couple hours north of you in Stephens City, VA. The only problem I see is the first 3 letters of you name......how about VPI or VA Tech Gobbler?
