With all the experience on this site traveling to turkey hunt, how about a forum dedicated to the logistics of planning a trip? Call it turkey travel!
Re: travel forum
That IS a good idea. I like it Turkinator.

I like it.
Re: travel forum
It would be very helpful, but I don't know how many folks are gonna pony up info on the places they travel to hunt. Most are pretty secretive about stuff like that, for good reason.

I will be glad to tell someone general information but there are a select few that actually know where I hunt places and I like to keep it that way. Be great for general information like how the birds are acting/responding in a certain state or area of a state

Yeah, even if it's just honest reviews of where to stay or eat, it would be worth it.davisd9 wrote:I will be glad to tell someone general information but there are a select few that actually know where I hunt places and I like to keep it that way. Re: travel forum
It would really be a help in knowing the quirks some states have in nr tags ect.
Re: travel forum
If it's to talk about any public land places and locations then I think it's a terrible idea. The internet has done ruined most of them.

Dang I thought it was about air fares , hotels, camp grounds, good states ,bad states. Ways to transport birds maybe how to handle the gear you take. Maybe advise on outfitters.
Of course nobody is going to give info on where they hunt.

LOL! I would make the first post. My favorite in Kansas, actually the only one I know of in Kansas, used to be called Paola Flats Saloon about 20 years ago when I lived in KC. I think it's called Bonita Flats Saloon now, and I'd bet the drinks are still just as cheap. You can only class up a converted triple wide just so much.WV Ridge Reaper wrote:Maybe where the strip bars are located at as well...Didn't see much in KS.

Went to new york a couple years ago and spent half a day looking for hunting liscenes holders to pin on your back. Would have been good to know beforehand. And reading dnr websites can be torture
Re: travel forum
I thought we already had a Strip club locator in the Gobbler Directory.
