Annual GA trip
Annual GA trip
Well, just got home from my annual turkey hunting trip back home to turkey hunt. The turkeys weren't quite "right", but still somewhat workable. I managed to kill one opening morning (Sat) and one this morning (Sun). I came on back home this afternoon because of the rain in the forecast. I can always go back after May 1 or after I fill my SC tags.
Saturday's bird was a run-of-the mill 2yr old with 1" spurs and an 8.5" beard that seemed to have rotted off on the end, but he weighed 22.9lbs. Sunday's bird was a better bird with a 10" beard and 1.25" spurs.
Now, I'm waiting on April 1st for SC(upper) to open!

I'd hate to see what you could do if they were "right".

Thanks, fellas.
By not "right", I mean that the turkeys, or most of them, were still in bachelor groups and weren't very eager to commit and come in.

Congrats on the pair of nice gobblers, Mike!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
