passed 29-11............ Hunting on private land on Sundays is one step closer to becoming law with passage of a bill by the Virginia Senate. Now on its way !!!

That GREAT...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

But, only on private land? That's the way it is in SC, and I don't much care for having to sit on my hands on Sundays, when other folks get to go hunting.

I have to agree that it is a stupid law, most people only get Saturday and Sunday off from work. No law like that here in MT.

YES ON PRIVATE.
I am curious how thats going to pan out for leasees of land, hunt clubs etc. It could very well be tabled in the next step, revised and chopped up. I think this is a WIN for landowners if it passes and glad them folks may get the right to hunt their own property when they see fit. I dont believe its going to be the economic help for the state everyone is buzzing about until it goes public access rights. Even if small steps this is one step closer.

I would assume if it passes and you hunt private land regardless if it's leased or not then you can hunt Sundays.

If I was a public land hunter in Virginia, I would be raising bloody hell with my legislator right about now. Seems to me to be a clear-cut case of discrimination against public land hunters.
