Hookin up on the TN River

Post by Shooter » September 27th, 2013, 11:07 pm

Brent M and I hooked up on the river this eve, on the Alabama line, for a handloading session, and a little fishing.
He brought me some Fed 3" hulls to try, and I brought him some Big TSS for a new load he is developing. Can't wait to see the results of this one! Should be interesting!

I had just picked up this Spro Poppin Frog from Bass Pro this past weekend for $11. Five casts later with three blow ups in the grass doing topwater,... It was gone!!!!
Dam Gar cut the 30 Lb braid like it was nothin! Needless to say, when Brent showed up 45 mins later, I was a little miffed!!!
We had about an hour before dark, so we fished a couple different places, chatting loading and such.
I changed over to a dark colored topwater bait, after the sun went behind the mountains.
We only caught this one fish, but you know what they say,.... Quality, not quantity.
Dang Brent, your cam makes my 20 ft boat look like a Canoe,...LOL. Good thing it made the Bass look bigger!
The Heck with Deer season, It's Big Bass time!!!
Skeeter time too, Huh Brent??
Enjoyed the trip, we will do it again next week!!!
