What rpm is recommended for roll crimping?

The general recommendation is somewhere 200-400 rpm. The manufacturer of your roll crimping die usually has an opinion-
Precision Reloading recommends 300 rpm for their roll crimping die
BPI doesn't give a specific number, but their advice- The exact speed (rpm) of the spin is not the essential part of a good crimp. In fact, a modest spin speed seems to work the best. A fast spin may cause plastic to heat up too quickly and control of the downward movement may be lost.

GAEP recommends 1000 to 1100 for their 12 ga. crimper I believe. I had trouble with mine when I first got it and was trying to run 500 or 600 if I remember correctly. Sped the spindle speed to 1100 and it worked slick as could be.
