I saw this.. I started with a 20 about 05 06. It's gotten ridiculous. Don't give me the what you spend in gas argument. Spent 650 last month alone scouting fowl. I may go back to a 12 and longbeards.

I don't think it's out of line at all. I easily spent that much per shell the first three years shooting TSS. If you figure the testing it takes to develop loads it can easily be way more than that. Consider they got $6 - $8 per shell for hevishot so not a surprise. Someone was kind enough to share proven TSS loads with me so testing was not lengthy in my case.

If longbeards would have come out before I got waist deep in TSS supplies, I would have never gotten started loading it. LBs are untouchable in value. I bet the 20 gauge version in #5's would be all most any turkey hunter would need. On the other hand I would have missed all the drama TSS brings, stuff is an instant argument any where ya go on the net.

Federal's prices on 20ga are the ones I'm interested in. I'm fine with their heavy 7 load, but if they stop making it I'll need something else. It takes me for bleedin' ever to assemble a TSS load; pop the primer, clean the case, dry the case, prime the case, cut the OSC, cut the mylar, prep the wad, weigh the powder, weigh the shot, assemble, glue the OSC. :colors: It's only worth it if I can't buy it.

:LMAO: I have never shot one past 40.05 yards. I truly love TSS. Its keeping the internet alive in forums and on facebook. Next the Chinese are about to shove new higher prices up our A$$es.

Have you seen the scores from nwtf this year unbelievable. I remember doing back flips hitting 150 with lead, now the ammo is so good it's easy to have a bonafide 50 yd gun. I remember sitting on nwtf in like 06-7 and guys like sloppy, mkw, knighthawk, bill from pg going on and on to get a guy straight. Now it's simple and boring.

I would love this spring we have a fun contest. Pick a bargain turkey load and have a 10 inch circle comp. Shoot as many loads as you want. I think I'd be fun.

Agreed. It's too easy now. It used to be more fun.
I've thought about that in the past. I think it would be fun, too. Let's do it. I honestly don't even know what kind of numbers I used to get....but it worked. And no longbeards allowed. That's cheating.
Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.
