Reckon how soon Federal will change the wad, powder, or hull once they put them out? Folks will be chasing lot numbers again

I would buy from Apex long before I bought from Federal, Federal pissed me off years ago when they went to their Flight Control wad in the Fed. Premiums, as far as I am concerned they ruined a truly great shell. I'll just roll my own, that way I know what is in them.

Not a real fan of the flight control wad either although it did fine in my 20 before I switched to TSS but I am a fan of Federal for sticking with the REAL heavy stuff when no one else offered anything heavier than 12g/cc junk that is claimed to be 13.

I hope this move goes well for them.

I shot the winchester extended range stuff for years. Then had switched to federal heavyweight which I liked alot and patterned just fine with the flight control wad for me. I'm just glad they stuck with it also and didn't lower thier g/cc like heavyshot stuff did.

It will be fun to see it unfold. With the Federal we have seen 170 to 180. If they go to 9's I think they will be in line with most the other TSS loads out. It back to what I said b4 about supply and demand. They will be able to keep up but will the rest be able to load what is needed for the none hand loaders. Thing about it they have the money to buy up so much of the stuff needed. Look back a few everyone could not find powder or wads. Folks also use federal hulls so it all about the $$$$ for the others. I wish all them the best and hope it dont become cut throat full of bad business tactics.

Looks like your going to pay between $7 to $10 plus per shell depending on your specs.

Dang it would be nice to be able to buy a two pack for $20.00 at the local Shell station circle K or quick stop.

Get a cup of coffee and 2 pack of TSS and a delicious fried bologna sandwich on the way to your roosted bird at 400AM. :dontknow:
