They don't have them on their website yet.

That will put the hurts on Winchester's LB sales.

Yep, just saw this on Facebook.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but from an outsiders perspective I see good and not so good. Should be interesting to see it unfold

You guys missed the real news on the picture of the box:

Interesting development that's been a long time in coming. Someone has been paying attention to the "we told you so" handloaders' accounts and results. Gil

Federal will move the conversation among the uniformed masses to whether or not #8 is "too small" for turkeys. Surprising they went to #8 as if memory serves, that might not be legal in all states for turkeys, unless the load is touted for waterfowl. You fellas in such states, correct me if I'm wrong. Gil

Interesting that a major company is finally paying attention. I was surprised to see that they used "TSS" on the box. I think that Kyle Smith was the originator of that term, and I thought he had copyrighted it. Maybe not. It will be interesting to see how their loads perform.

Illinois is 7.5 as the smallest. Our state also went to non-toxic shot on state land.

Federal needs to make some TSS #3 shot loads for coyotes. The whole state of California will have to use lead free shot on anything you hunt in 2019.

Sadly it won't be long until it starts in a lot of other states

I think states like yours was the reason Federal went with #7 on the 15 g/cc tungsten shot loads. Gil

Few thoughts so far.

Will be interesting to see the price and how well the flex wad works with it.

I thought TSS might be copyrighted as well but don't know for sure.

You don't need TSS 6 for geese...8 or 9 will work better

You don't need TSS 3 for yotes...6-8 is fine

TSS is non toxic.

Does this mean they will quit making the HW 7 loads?

Good question. if they're making these in a 12ga load like the box says, I would guess that a 20ga load won't be too far behind. I could see federal making changes several years after that.

For shooting coyotes I want the shot to go through the hind legs, through the guts and on into the heart and lungs at 60 yards. I want at least 3.70" of gel penetration at 60 yards and farther.
TSS #6 shot at 1300 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 46.1 yards.
TSS #3 shot at 1300 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 96.8 yards.

When I plan on shooting coyotes in the ass I don't want to use turkey loads.
