wanting to set up a 20ga Benelli m2 for TSS
wanting to set up a 20ga Benelli m2 for TSS
This has probably been asked, so please excuse me. Been logged in here reading about TSS a lot, and have got me a 26" M2 getting drilled and tapped now. When ya want to learn--go to where the imfo's the best, so I am here asking for advice from you guys that have tested this on this gun for a good starting point with loads and chokes that have worked for yall best. Any imfo is greatly appreciated as far as loads and chokes go....also , who is the right guy to deal with if I decide to load my own.
Thanks a lot in advance for any help guys

Welcome to GN!
I shoot IndianCreek chokes. I have several that I use. 555 produces a very tight core pattern.
With a 562 I get a great pattern that's evenly spaced and uniform.
Benellis tend to jam with a 3", so for the M2 20 ga I would recommend talking to Shooter about tss and his hot rod 2 3/4" load he has.
What ever you decide to do, please be sure to post up what you have decided and how well it does.

If you load your own just make sure the overall length of the shell is 2 5/8" or less and they will cycle fine in a M1 or M2 Benelli.

Jmck, I will second what these guys have said. Tss options are wide ooen these days are far as suppliers and guys that can get you going. No worries there.
I shoot a .555 Indian Creek with a 2.75" 1 7/16oz load from Hawglips. There are also some good 1 5/8oz loads out there thAt will give you bigger numbers.
If ya want to try a .555 or .562 Indian Creek let me know.
I can send them to you to try.
Here is the 1 7/16 with .555 309 in 10" 170 in 20"

I too shoot a m2 20 ga. with a 24" barrel, I loaded Hal's Big 20 XL load in 3" hulls and my finished shells come out to 2.578 to 2.581 and they cycle fine in my gun, I also have a IC .555, IC .560, IC .570 and a Tightwad .582 that you are welcome to try, I have found that in my gun the .555 seems to be the best as far as pattern density and overall evenness but that's my gun and yours could do better with a different exit dia. choke, I would love to try a Carlson's .575 but they don't make one for the Crio choke system.

Indian ck. 555 is what I shoot also. Super hot core. I shoot the 1.625oz load in a federal 3in hull. Mine cycle perfectly, but I fold crimp.

Not to hijack, but does a stoeger m3020 have a barrel similar to the m2's?

I think it uses the older style Benelli threads.bowhunter2k9 wrote: ↑August 6th, 2017, 1:00 pmNot to hijack, but does a stoeger m3020 have a barrel similar to the m2's?
