Yes, it will more than likely be a very competitive price in order to try and capture as much of the market as possible. I will stick with Hal, until he decides to throw in the towel.

Interesting. Looks like they're really tying to capture the whole TSS market. It will be interesting to see their prices

I saw a guy selling heavy type shot in pre measured jars at NWTF convention. They had a booth. I don't know what was special about their shot. I had mentioned this to various TSS people including an Apex rep months ago. I said somebody needs to be at the NWTF convention selling TSS shot in jars in the various weights people are likely to buy. looks like they saw the same thing.

I don't see them saying anything about giving out load data so you can load your own.

I don't know anything about reloading so these may seem like dumb questions to those of you who do but:

1. How many shells can you make with a pound of #9 TSS.
2. How much is the total cost per shell?

It really depends on what shell and load you are loading, I have got some 3 1/2" 2 1/2 oz. 12 ga. shells loaded up that ended up being about 9.50 ea. and my 20 ga. 1 5/8 oz. loads cost me about 6.50 ea. That 3 1/2" 12 ga. 2 1/2 oz. load only yields 6 shells per pound of TSS.

20ga 1-5/8oz loads should only run about $4.35ea total or $21.75/5. They really don't run much more than other premium ammo, but the performance is a whole new ballgame.

Considering the price of a 5 round box of magblends or heavyweight in the 20 ga, and the performance gain, its better all around tobload your own.

Can't nobody argue with that. I'm trying to slowly build up to have 50 pounds of shot on hand that should be enough for my lifetime and some for my kids.

The shot that I have I paid right at 50.00 a lb. for this spring, it really just depends on what you have to pay for your shot.

That's a good idea. Trump is pushing for tougher stance on trade with China. I can see the prices of goods skyrocketing from China.

Thx for the responses guys. I guess if you are already set-up to reload or if you are young & just starting in reloading it would make good sense. But if you're as old as Doug & me and/or don't already have the equipment, it wouldn't prolly wouldn't make good economic sense. As long as I can keep getting my magic pixie dust #7s for $25-$30 for a box of 5, I'll be happy. Besides, I have 70 shells & that should last me at least 2-3 years. :LMAO:
