If more people get into importing it from China on a large scale, then that could make the price go down assuming the importers cost is the same. We (at least I) don't know what our president is going to do to the price of imported goods. This can be the wildcard the the whole situation. As I understand it, nobody in the US makes it. If he implements steep tariffs then of course price will go up.

If some of the big guys get into it and the factories in China have the capacity to keep producing, we may not see a price difference. If demand outpaces supply because of a mass manufacturer getting into loading TSS and the price increases too much, I bet they will get out of loading it simply because 90% of Turkey hunters don't think it's necessary and won't pay what I'll cost. I image it is already a gamble at the current market prices for them to get started, that's why we haven't seen any yet.

Long story short, it could go either of the 3 ways.

You could do worse things than stockpile a life supply.

For turkeys, I'd rather have a $100 20 gauge tricked out single-shot and a $1000 worth of TSS than a Benelli SBE and $100 worth of any commercial load. YMMV.

If the free trade agreement with China is modified or changed it could be 15-20% higher. Still better than any commercial load!!

Gentleman, With his 35$lb price he makes, just so you are aware 38$ shipped to Your door with a minimum amount of 5lb. If you want 6-7-8 or 13 doesn't matter he is ok with that. 5lb is the smallest order he ships so it makes shipping worthwhile.

Tungsten is a commodity metal just like lead, silver, copper, etc. The price is for the most part subject to global influences much more influential than turkey hunting. We have seen TSS price come down a bit in the last year or so because the commodity price of tungsten is down. And when the commodity price of tungsten goes back up, so will the price of TSS. IMO, the cost of shot will not be affected by Nitro's decision to load TSS. They will just get a better price because they can buy it in bulk.

And just as it is cheaper to hand load copper bullets than it is to buy factory bullets, I suspect it will be cheaper to hand load TSS vs buy from Nitro.

According to fb, there is a company called apex ammunition that appears to be selling tss ammo. The future of tss will be the next nitro company imo. Appears to be about 37 for 5 shells
