Re: 20 ga TSS combos
Something is wrong with your numbers, there is no way you have 895 pellets in a 1 5/8 oz load, I think that should be 174 in the 20. If I am wrong, I want me some of those shells...hawglips wrote:3" 1-5/8 oz #9s

Re: 20 ga TSS combos
That should be 574 in the 20", not the 10-20".
Re: 20 ga TSS combos
So your saying you put 321 hits in the 10 AND you put 574 more hits in the 20".....
Or are you saying you put 321 in the 10 and 253 in the 20 for a TOTAL of 574?

Re: 20 ga TSS combos
10" has 321 and 253 in between the inner 10" and 20" for a grand total of 574 hits inside the total 20" ring.pullit wrote:So your saying you put 321 hits in the 10 AND you put 574 more hits in the 20".....

Re: 20 ga TSS combos

Re: 20 ga TSS combos
in all of your patterning have you noticed a preferenece in barrel length for tss in the 20ga?
Re: 20 ga TSS combos
I like 26" but you never know...Turkinator wrote:in all of your patterning have you noticed a preferenece in barrel length for tss in the 20ga?
Re: 20 ga TSS combos
Over the years I have learned with TSS that barrel length plays a part but not a big part. TSS takes more open chokes than other HTL shots to get good patterns. However what I have learned with all is longer barrels normally can use a more open choke. Not 100% but most times. It's like anything else. Trial and error to find the choke and pattern you want.Turkinator wrote:in all of your patterning have you noticed a preferenece in barrel length for tss in the 20ga?

Re: 20 ga TSS combos
Shot my son's youth 870 today to make sure it was "on" for youth season Saturday. Figured I'd run it through analytics.

So did anyone make a 2 oz 20 gauge load? Hal I know you said you were thinking about it in an earlier post. The 5XL load?
