Do you plan on smoothing out the trigger pull or is it okay as is? I had it done to my 20 gauge Super Bantam and it was a huge improvement. Dissassembly and reassembly of the Mossy trigger group is not for the faint of heart. Gil

Black, I can do. Camo? Never!

I'll be shooting 1-7/8 oz of TSS 9s through her -- assuming she patterns them well. If not, I'll step down 1/8 oz at a time...

A shell hasn't been run through her yet, so I don't have a feel for the trigger. Usually they are a bit heavy, but we shall see. I hope to shoot a box or two of target loads through her tomorrow, and then after that, a few TSS loads to see how she'll pattern with a Carlson's XF (.575).

I've got one of those chokes, and a youth all black 20 ga. auto. Look forward to see what kind of patterns you get.

Here's the first shell through her, 2-3/4" (reject load, over pressure), T9s, 1-5/8 oz, Carlson XF (.575) choke:

260 10", 236 20"

Here's the 2nd shell, T9s, 3", 1-7/16 oz, same choke:

210 10", 222 20"

Not happy with either of these patterns, and don't think I have it choked right. The first shell was high pressure, and so that wacky band of dense pellets is likely due to that. It also appears to be shooting a little to the right. But I'll take it out again when I have more time, and have the right shells loaded for it. I was rushing out (boy scout camp) and grabbed what I had available to shoot. But I also shot 2 boxes of target loads through it after that, and that'll probably help it shoot a little better next time.

To be continued...

Good luck with it Hal. I'm sure you'll have it purring right along in short order.
