28 gauge off-season turkey gun build

Post by decoykrvr »

I'm thinking about getting a CZ 628 for an off-season build. I would probably have the barrel cut to @24", threaded, receiver tapped to accept a Sumtoy base, and finally fully dipped. I hunt turkeys almost exclusively w/ pump shotguns and would appreciate anyone's experience w/ the CZ 628 and comments or suggestions.

I'd definitely cut the barrel off whatever length it takes to eliminate the porting. Sounds like a good project. Gil
